Build Your Life Video Series

Welcome! A Step-by-Step Guide to
Using the Build Your Life Journal

This video series was created to introduce students to the power of journaling and the D.R.E.A.M.S.™ framework – a practical, step-by-step process for setting goals, building confidence, and creating momentum toward a meaningful future.

Each video is led by Julia Martin, co-founder of Dream Builders Academy, and pairs directly with the Build Your Life Journal. The series walks students through the Daily Pages and the D.R.E.A.M.S.™ framework using clear, easy-to-follow explanations and relatable examples, such as preparing for a first job, starting a small business, or reaching a graduation goal.

How to use these videos in the classroom:

  • Start with Video 1 to introduce journaling and the Daily Pages. This lays the foundation for why journaling is powerful and how students can use it each day to set their mindset and priorities.

  • Progress through Videos 2–4 as you guide students through the D.R.E.A.M.S.™ framework: Declare & Reframe, Envision, and Align–Move–Surrender. Each video matches a section of the Build Your Life Journal and includes examples students can model.

  • Use the Closing Video to wrap up the series, reinforcing the importance of daily practice and encouraging students to use their journals consistently.

  • Pause for discussion and reflection. After each video, allow students time to complete the prompts in their journals and invite them to share insights with a partner or group.

  • Encourage consistency. Remind students that the Daily Pages are meant to be used every morning, while the D.R.E.A.M.S.™ framework pages can be revisited whenever they set a new goal or face a challenge.

By pairing these videos with the Build Your Life Journal, you’ll help your students not only learn essential skills like self-reflection, goal-setting, and reframing limiting beliefs, but also practice them in real time. The goal is for every learner to walk away with tools they can use to build confidence, resilience, and a vision for their future.
